There are many, really great surf shops worldwide. What sets Bigsurf apart from the rest, is we are a REAL SHOP, operated by REAL PEOPLE who have dedicated everything to watersports, and we “give something back“. No bullsh*t…just honest and good support from us, always, for you.
We established quickly in 2009 as Ireland’s Best Online Watersports Equipment Shop. There is no secret…we just do this really, really well.
Bigsurf is ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY. We buy used equipment, no matter what condition or what age, because someone else will love it when you decide you want to change. We’re not a massive online retailer looking to place big pre-orders, or to make sales volumes to qualify for discounts…if anything we’re the opposite. We have great equipment that works incredibly well. We also minimise waste. For example, we pack your orders using upcycled, recyclable, materials. If we have a used box from a supplier, a used envelope that samples arrived to us inside, or a shoe box that one of our staff brought in one day, we use it to pack your order. We don’t use plastic if at all possible…our packing tapes are paper based, and we use paper fill instead of bubble wrap where we can. Simple and effective.
Most new equipment is good nowadays…but we evaluate what is really good and what is not…if we have it, it is here for a good reason. Trust us please…there is equipment available to buy now, that is available for the sake of filling a shiny catalogue or website. Same for our website…we don’t just upload a product to fill the website like some online retailers.

Also something really obvious to us. When you order a new board, or an equipment package from Bigsurf, you really don’t want to be receiving it from a courier driver who wants to get home by 6pm. You need to have the guys who know about the equipment delivering it to you in person…if you have setup queries you can ask there and then. So, buy a new board or equipment package from Bigsurf, and we’ll deliver it ourselves to any address in Ireland, sometimes even further.
We do ship worldwide. Just because you are not located in our country, does not mean you can’t have the best service.
