Brass Barrel Nut for Tuttle and Powerbox Fins

These Brass Barrel Nut will get your windsurfing fin back in business...genuine replacement part for fins.

This is the genuine Brass Barrel Nut as found in 99% of windsurfing tuttle, deep tuttle and powerbox fins.  Also commonly found in the heads of foils, and in some of the joining sections of some foils.

The M6 threaded bolt of your windsurfing tuttle or power box fin after repeated use can cause the threads in the brass barrel nuts within your fin head to strip.  If an M6 tap tool will not fix it, then replacing the barrel nuts themselves is the best option.  These are the genuine barrel nuts.

Removal of your existing barrel nut is simple...use a large flat head screwdriver to push the barrel nut out of the fin head while twisting the nut.  Generally they are pushed in there quite tight, so you'll need some muscle to get it out...unless you are clever with a bench vice!  If you are unsure, we can swap them out for you at the shop while you wait, or post your fins to us and we'll fix them for you.

Comes in 2 sizes, large is the 12mm diameter, and the small is the 9mm diameter.
