USED Starboard Formula 175 (Intermediate)
This is a USED Starboard Formula 175 windsurfing board, a classic Formula racing board from the 2000’s that also served to be a good board for big riders (lots of volume) and was also used as beginner boards (wide, stable size and lots of stability).
This board is ideal for heavier riders, or someone who wants to get into course racing on the cheap. Would also suit someone who wants a board that will plane early with big rigs up to 12.0m in size. It’s not ideal, but could be used for lighter weight beginners…lack of centre fin makes it less ideal for learning, but if it’s a family board, then why not.
Condition on this board is good for it's age. It has a couple of dings, but nothing at all serious. Board is dry internally, and fairly good structurally for its age in fairness. One ding is touched up as pictured, the other needs some epoxy resin added to it ideally (10 min job).
Comes with board bag and a 70cm deep tuttle box fin as pictured…those Curtis racing fins were highly desirable when they first launched…if you had one, you could win races!
Board has a deep tuttle box, so it could be used for foiling, but it is not designed for it. So not ideal for foiling.
New this board was approx. €1500! Much cheaper now, and a bargain find if you’re looking for one of these. Also very rare to find these in good used condition.
