Unifiber Aluminium ESSENTIALS Booms
Highly recommended are these Unifiber Aluminium ESSENTIALS Monocoque Booms.
Each size in this boom model is designed specifically…the shorter sizes are more narrow for wave sails, longer sizes are wider for race sails.
The booms are light weight, very strong and ridgid, and above all they are very comfortable to use with a supple long lasting foam grip.
The clamp on these is a fantastic design, giving a very secure and safe attachment to your mast, while minimising chance of point loading. The clamp itself clips on and off the boom arms, by simply twisting it around the boom head…so you can use the same clamp on other Unifiber boom arms within seconds. The clamp is suitable for use on both RDM and SDM masts, simply by swapping out the supplied boom inserts (20second task). And it has a dedicated uphaul rope attachment point.
The tail section is simple and secure to adjust, with each size having different features on the cleat/rollers as necessary.
