The RRD Compact Wave Rig Set is the ultimate quiver for the modern windsurfer who wants simple transporting or storage of equipment.  Honestly this is one of the most satisfying equipment packages we have had come through Bigsurf in many years.

Beginner windsurfers, you will enjoy this package as it has everything you need.  Just add a board.

Intermediate windsurfers, you will enjoy this package as it has you covered in planing conditions from 17 knots to 35 knots approximately...depending on your ability.

Expert riders, there is very little drop in performance compared to conventional rigs.  We tested the 5.3m in everything from float out 4 knot winds and head high waves, through to 40 knots overpowered bump & jump.  It is fantastic!  Lovely soft feeling from the sail, and very tuneable.  Only the mast is a touch heavier than normal, but you soon forget that and don't even notice it after a while.  The 4.6m is the go to all round windy day sail for average weights, and the 4.0m then is when it’s proper windy. Each sail is different, and the wind range is large. They are soft feeling sails, not hard hitting in gusts as they breathe really well. For foiling, this quiver is all you need. We’ve used the 5.3m in 6 knots with a foil right up to 20 knots, and then the 4.0m works in 20+ knots. 

A simply fantastic setup. If you’re looking for the ultimate in mobility, this is the best we’ve had the pleasure of using. It means all your gear is in one bag, and then your board. We used THIS BOARD a lot with this package and the complete combination is excellent.

Condition of this equipment

We’d describe this as being in excellent condition overall. The 5.3m was used the most, and it is very very clean. The mast, boom and extension are all perfect. The bag has some surface dirt, but that can be easily washed if you would like to.

There is sail bags supplied with each sail, which are immaculate as we didn’t sue them when all sails are in the large rig bag.
