This is a superb choice if you are an intermediate rider having fun learning your gybes in light to medium strength winds, and if you are a more experienced level rider looking for an easy to use, FAST, light to medium wind windsurf board that also is a good platform for progressive foiling.
As a 135L freeride board, it is a fantastic shape to perfect gybes with, and to blast forward and back at full speed! It’s a super “burn & turn” board!…but in an easy to use shape so you can progress with it easily. With a more slalom shaped fin, this is a very quick board, even to do some fun racing with.
It is FOIL READY...meaning you can use it for beginner to experienced levels of foiling. This board is designed for easy flight take offs and touch downs.
A great investment…we love seeing these boards coming back to the shop in 10+ years time…they hold their value really well and we always have people wanting them to progress their windsurfing with.
Works great with sails ranging from 4.5m upto 9.0m.

This RRD Firemove 120 LTE is a fantastic intermediate level windsurfing board for light to medium wind strengths. Fast!…even plenty fast enough to do some fun racing with, it also doubles up as a great board to go foiling on.
This RRD Firemove 120 for many years has been one of our recommendations for intermediate level riders. Many many customers love this shape, and in this size…it has transformed their windsurfing by letting them progress quickly. What makes this one special is its construction, it can be used for foiling, and this actual board has only been used once, yep just 1 time on the water!…there is a nice saving to be had over buying a new board.
Its construction is light enough to be very responsive underfoot, but tough enough to minimise the chance of damage normally associated with progressing riders. It is the recommended construction for value and performance. If you’d like extra protection, you can also install a nose protector, available HERE.
For windsurfing, the wide, short and thin profile allows the board to plane early, accelerate quickly and efficiently, yet the rails bite really well through gybes, tacks and footsteering. All this gives you a board which is very controllable, and fast! It’s the perfect size for the average weight freerider…it is big enough to float home, small enough to hold on to when the going gets tough, and fast and fun all other times! You can power up and drive this board hard like a slalom board, and you will get more and more speed…simply put these ride fantastically!
For foiling, the 120 litres of volume and width give you a nice stable platform to balance on when stopped. When you have your foiling ability dialled in, it is a great size to enjoy in light to medium winds…the width lets you drive upwind hard and to commit to the foil. Or lie back, relax and enjoy the flight…it will do it all. We can supply the ideal foil for this board...we recommend something like THIS FOIL.
Comes with an MFC freeride fin, and a set of comfy RRD/Dakine footstraps as pictured. If you can collect from Bigsurf we will install these in the optimum position for you.
